Product Overview
The Atlas Platinum PVL14 is a commercial-grade four-post lift, engineered for professional workshops and capable of handling a variety of vehicles from cars and vans to SUVs, trucks, and even some light to medium commercial vehicles. This lift distinguishes itself with a high-strength cable system and an oversized hydraulic cylinder positioned under the runway, powered by a 220-volt (single-phase) power unit. This design contrasts with older chain lifting systems and exposed hydraulic cylinders, which are prone to leveling issues and "door dings".
The Atlas Platinum PVL14 features rails between the runways, facilitating the use of a rolling bridge jack (the Atlas® Platinum RJ7000 is recommended), which are sold separately. It is also ALI Certified, ensuring compliance with industry safety standards, and comes with a comprehensive warranty for added peace of mind. The lift is equipped with an ALLY Hydraulic AL2650 power unit, certified by MET Laboratories Inc. for electrical compliance in both the USA and Canada. This premium power unit boasts heavy-duty armatures and increased motor windings, reducing heat production and maintaining constant torque throughout the lifting process. It also comes with an industry-leading two-year limited warranty.

This item is warranted for five (5) years on structural components, two (2) years on hydraulic cylinders, and one (1) year on electric or air/hydraulic power units from the invoice date. Wear parts are covered by a 90-day warranty. The LIMITED warranty policy does not include a labor warranty. ATLAS Automotive Equipment is offered at very competitive prices, allowing us to provide exceptional value. Buyers of this equipment line are assumed to be mechanics or have mechanic employees to perform essential repair and/or maintenance services. A list of technicians who can go on-site at the customer's expense is available.
NOTE: For validity, all warranty claims must be pre-approved by the manufacturer. The manufacturer will repair or replace, at its option, during this period, parts returned to the factory freight prepaid, which prove defective upon inspection. This warranty applies only if the product is installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. It applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship but does not cover normal service or adjustments, damage or malfunction caused by improper handling, installation, abuse, misuse, neglect, lack of care in operation, or normal wear. It also does not cover equipment where repairs or modifications have been made or attempted. THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ALL SUCH IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED. The remedies described are exclusive, and in no event shall the manufacturer or any affiliated company be liable for special, consequential, or incidental damages resulting from the breach or delay in performance of this warranty. This includes, without limitation, loss of profit, rental or replacement equipment, or any other commercial loss. The warranty is governed by the laws of Canada and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the province or territory in which the equipment is sold and shipped. Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. All orders will be invoiced at prices prevailing at the time of shipment. Prices do not include local, provincial, or federal taxes, if any. All taxes are subject to the prevailing rate where Atlas products are sold or shipped. Products cannot be returned without the prior written consent of the manufacturer. Due to the competitive selling price of these lifts, this warranty policy will be strictly administered and enforced.
Most customers are mechanically inclined and look forward to installing and assembling their new acquisition. Most items can be installed and assembled by two people in a reasonable amount of time. Before starting, consider these tips:
- Read the manual carefully. If you can't find it, download it from the product page on the website.
- Watch the videos posted on each product page for insider information.
- If you haven't received your item yet, get an idea of what you'll need to do to transport or unload it.
- Plan your installation, ensuring the area is clean and clear.
- Bring the entire crate as close as possible to the installation area.
- Disassemble the packaging and parts, ensuring all parts are present.
- If reading the manual, get 2 or 3 steps ahead of your current situation.
Be sure to check the electrical requirements of the product. Some items are 110V or 220V. Others require an electrician to wire it to your breaker panel or install an outlet.
If you are assembling a car lift, you will need hydraulic fluid. CAUTION: We do not supply hydraulic fluid for your lift. Generally, we recommend using AW-32 hydraulic oil. A 5-gallon bucket is usually more than enough.
When filling your hydraulic fluid for the first time, don't rush the process. Fill the reservoir 1/3 or 1/2 full, then raise and lower the lift. Bleed out the air and kinks, then, when the lift is in the lowest position, fill it to 2/3 or 3/4 and raise and lower it again. DO NOT fill the reservoir beyond 1/3 or 1/2 when the lift is in the up position, as there is sludge in the cylinders and other components. Some hydraulic cylinders may be "air locked" during manufacturing. To remedy this, ensure the cylinder supply hoses are not connected. Using a ratchet strap or similar object, slowly tension the piston end and gently apply pressure while trying to extend the piston from the cylinder.
These tips are friendly suggestions from us and years of experience we have gained working with these products. While they do not apply to all products, we hope you take them to heart while reviewing other information (such as manuals and videos) that we provide regarding the assembly and setup of your product. Your safety and satisfaction are our primary concerns. If you have any questions or concerns throughout the assembly or use of your product, please do not hesitate to contact us.
